Photo Assignment 1

"In Relation to Another Object"

"Detailed Shot"

"Best Representation of the Subject"

"Angle Shot"

"Straight Forward Shot"

For my first photography assignment, I was requested to take several point of view shots of any object of my choosing.  For my subject, I chose my favorite guitar, my Martin SWDGT.  I love the way the red cherry wood came out in the shoot.  I wish I had a better model for the action shot, but I had to do it myself.  But I think that they came out alright.  I hope you like them!

Cobweb in Sunlight

This is from an abandoned house near where I live.  I love abandoned buildings as they always have a nice, creepy vibe in terms of what you can find there.  This picture was taken in a very small basement where I had to crouch to get in.  I love the way this came out though, with sunlight from the only window in the basement hitting the cobweb just right.  Hope you all like it!

Mic in Blue

Snapped this pic at a show performed by my friends Paper Mills! You can check out their music on Spotify and iTunes, and you can see their website at http://www.papermillsband.com/ Plus, you can see some more of my photography on their website! Definitely give them a listen.  A lot of what I shoot is because of them, so a big thank you to those guys for supporting me and my art!

Photo Blog Assignment

For my first post in this blog, I have selected a few of my favorite pictures that I have taken over the course of the last year.  I had a hard time narrowing down the choices, and though my assignment asked for only 5, I was hard-pressed to limit myself to only that many.  Therefore, I have selected a number of photographs which I feel represents myself and my art.  Thank you for reading!
